Zendala Moments #12

December, the last template of this year. The last of 12 beautiful ons and we thank Annette for it!

I draw it on a paper I colored with the Eco dye Method and used a blue and gold Gelly roll Metallic pen. I do hope the gold is visible on the scan.

For now I want to wish you all a great 2020; may it provide all you need for a happy life.

A framed zendala

Wow, what a great template Annette has made for us this month.
I like what I made of it, I only wonder if the green was a good idea. I used a pastel pencil and it came out a bit spotty.

I made a frame by using the photo-editor BeFuncky and I think it looks nice.

Thanks Annette for an evening of working with a lot of zen!!!

Very red!

A bit late (all because of Inktober), but yesterday I finished my Zen Moments 10.
A self colored paper and a lot of red on it is the result. Of course it is much more red then the scan shows.
I loved working on this zendala.

Thanks Annette!!!

The difference

And also for Zen Moments #9 I took a paper I had colored before. This time I made a photo and a scan after finishing so you can see the difference. The scan shows the best how it really looks.

After starting with a blue Sakura pen, I wanted to have some thicker lines and took a Sharpie. Not such a good idea, because this was bleeding on the paper as you can see.
Well, as always in Zentangle, I went on and like the end result.

The scan

My colour purple

For Zen Moments 8 I took a paper I had colored before. The scan made it quit pale, it is much darker purple.

At first I did not really know what to do with this anti symmetric template, but after starting it all went by itself.

I liked drawing this one and also like the result.
Thanks Annette!!!

Black and white

For ZM #7 I took a zendala tile that I dyed with the Eco Dye method. Always love the soft coloring that appears when you dye it. Hard to see in the scan, but believe me, it's soft colored.

I loved working on this one and after finishing I thought that gluing it on a black tile would be better. I think I was right, what do you think?

Thanks again Annette!!!

Zen Moments and brain hemispheres

While we have a heatwave in the Netherlands, I created this zendala. Maybe that's the reason for this cooling, blue color :-)

What I like most about this one is, that you see two different shapes from time to time. I like that thing with the two brain hemispheres.

See what I mean?

A European zendala

I started this zendala last week in Switzerland, when I was visiting my daughter. I was tangling outside in the garden, with this view:

Last night, already back home for some days, I finished it. A real 'EU' zendala:-) in the week of European elections.

This is my zendala:

A spring zendala

Zen moments #4 is a great template.

I thought this color paper was just the right one for it and started with Javik by Ria Matheussen.
After that (as always) the next tangles came by themselves.

This is the result:

Zen Moments #3

Quite late, but I loved this zendala template (like I loved the first two), just had other stuff to do first :-).

I used a tile I had colored (hard to see on the scan) with the eco dye method; these colors are very light and soft. Love the fact that you never know what it will become.

Thanks Annette!!!

Pick up where you left off

"Pick up where you left off" is the theme of Challenge 386.
A bit hard for me, because, when I start a tile, I finish it. After some thinking what to do I suddenly remembered a tile that I started with just a few little lines on it. Don't know why I didn't go on with it, but now I was pleased to have it.
This is how it looked:

I took it with me to the hospice to-day because I knew (almost) for sure there would be some time for tangling. And that's just how it happened. I finished it tonight at home and here it is:

A zendala again

Again a WOW for Annette from me!!!
Was already waiting for this second template, printed it right away, but 'kept' it until yesterday for tangling.

This is my zendala:

Valentine and more

After some computer troubles, Laura is back with a 'Valentangle' challenge. I'm nor a 'heart' kind of person, but Want to do the Diva challenge, so ...

My husband asked me to have lunch with him on Valentine's Day, but because I have some appointments that day, we go for that lunch on Friday!

I think it was on FB that I got the idea of doing a monotangle. Instead of dots, I made this tangle (Grrr, forgotten the name) with hearts. I used a pink/blue tile I colored before and the pink in the hearts is done with Sakura Gelly Roll metallic. Of course, the scan doesn't show the shine in it.

Because there was no Linky machine last week, here is my Anthum tile once more.

And, last but not least, I did a swap with Jennifer Sparrow and this bookmark is what she has sent to me. Lovely isn't it!?

Wow, I love this

Wow, I LOVE the tangle of the week: Anthem by Jody Genovese.

This is a tangle I am sure I will use again. And, to be honest, I do like the finished tile myself:

Thanks Jody and Laura, I had a very nice time tangling!!!

First try

Recently there was a new tangle from HQ: Ratoon.
I had not tried this one, so the Challenge provided the opportunity for me.

Last night I had time to try it and ... it was not as difficult as it looked, but also not very easy.
I love this tangle, especially when I saw on FB what others can do with it. Maybe I will be able to do better in the future, but now I had little time and still wanted to be in the Challenge so this tile is the best I could do now.

I will probably not be able to comment much this week, because tomorrow I will go for a two days training for the hospice. There is quite a busy program and we stay in a hotel.
So, sorry and I'll try to do better next week.

Stripes and more stripes

Stripes as a string for Challenge 382.

Right away I knew I wanted to put the stripes in a circle. Took a tile that was done with the Gelli Plate method (you can see the size of my small Gelli Plate being pink) and put a circle on it. The pink is really shining, but the scan doesn't show that.
Then the stripes and ... the tangling could begin.

I had a zen time doing this!

WOW ..... a zendala group!!!!

Wow and more WOW!
Doing this zendala I just remembered how much I loved doing this. Long ago, when there was the Dare of Erin. Only now I know how much I missed doing this.

So, I'm very happy and grateful to Annette for starting this 'group'.

What more to say, then that I loved every second I was working on it. After tangling, I did the blue accents with a Derwent Inktense pencil and some water.

This is my zendala:

A new medium

'A happy new medium' is the subject of Challenge 381.
To be honest, I have quite some pens I have not (or hardly) used yet so a great opportunity to do so.
I took fine Sharpies and nice, but hard to draw on even with a Sakura pen, paper and started. Right from the start I knew this was not the best decision ever, but as always I go on what I started.
The good thing is, that I tried and know now that I better use these pens for something else.

The result is below, nothing much, but I did meet the challenge :-)

2019: a lot of .........

2019 and Laura's 'Diva challenge' blog is there for 8 years now! Congratulations, Laura!

2019 a new year with new opportunities. For some of us this will become a great year, for others not so great, we don't know what the future brings. What we do know, is that we're all tanglers and always try to be there for each other if needed. I'm still proud to be part of this community and thankful to Laura for starting it!!!

2019 did not start very well for Kees and me. I became ill with the flu on December 30th, did feel horrible but stayed up al night for Kees. Don't know if that was really nice for him, because most of the evening I was sleeping in my chair.
Next morning Kees was ill too, so we were just hanging in bed or in our chairs for days. Sleeping a lot.
Last Friday I went to the doctor and he found out I had (light) pneumonia, not a real good thing with my COPD. After the weekend I did not feel much better and went to the doctor again. There was a need for antibiotics and that's what I'm taking now for seven days.
Still ill, but feeling a bit better since yesterday evening.

Also 2019 being a new year with Diva Challenges and this week the first one: circles as your string. As I don't have a paint spinner, I just traced some glasses and tangled in the circles. Loved doing this, especially because it is my first tangling after becoming ill.
To be honest, I do like the result.
