Spilling some juice

'Spill it!'
And that's what I did for Challenge 282.

Luckily on Sunday Kees made some juice, by putting blackberries, raspberries, a pear and a banana in a blender. So I used some of it to spill on a tile and there was this nice reddish stain:

When it was dry I had a real zen time tangling it. This time I made photo's and the color is much more 'real' then by scanning.
Thanks Laura, I liked this challenge a lot.

A Banking House being a tangle

After a lot of rain and chilly days it's finally warmer in the Netherlands. Well, from 18 on Sunday to over 30 today (34 expected on Friday) it will be quite hot for our country. So, I'll do my shopping early this morning and only sit outside in the evening. The quality of the air is not too good at the moment so my lungs (and not only my lungs to be honest) will like it better inside the house :-)

ING: in the Netherlands a banking House, but this week's tangle for the Challenge.
ING, also a tangle I love using, but not always think of. So, you see that coming ..... I love this week's challenge!

Almost 'of course' I took a tile I colored before (I have quite a stack now) and started with a big diagonal ING. Some aura's around it and then it was screaming for Paradox with Zinger.
Then there appeared some shapes that have now name and that is where I did the black lines that I had better not. Pokeroot made it a bit better, but still, the black lines are too much.

Still, I like most of the tile, so I'm OK with it.

For Square one I created this tile with Viaduct:

Rio 2016

Challenge 280 and (idea came from Margareth Bremner) The Olympic Games have to be our inspiration.

Not very easy for me, because I hardly watch sport at all. But I wanted to join this challenge, so here I go.

I took a yellow tile because of the sun in Rio and tangles three medals on it. The centers are gold, silver and bronze (hard to see in this scan, but believe me, they are).
Then some Queen's Crown for winning, Golven for water games and Printemps for wheels.
I'm not really happy with it, but .... this has to do.

Auraknot and Meer, what to make of it?????

So, the first time only English for the Challenge post. Easier for me and less letters to look at for my readers :-)

This week it's a duotangle and the tangles are Auraknot and Meer; not tangles I would choose together, but that's what the challenge is about isn't it, challenging you to get out of your comfort zone.

I used a tile that I pre-colored with a gel plate; nice to do, but I'm not very good at it (yet?)!
The outer line of Auraknot is done with a Sakura Gelly Roll metallic pen, but as always the shine is not visible after scanning. I used a soft pastel pencil for shading.

Knightstar and a folding screen

This is probably the last time I do my Challenge post in two languages. It's always a lot (double to be precise) of work and I really don't think it's very needful. If the Dutch readers think differently, I may reconsider.

On to Challenge 278; an UMT by Danile Lamothe called Knightstar. A difficult one, for me anyway. I decided to draw the tangle quite big on the tile and after doing that it felt like it was finished. I did put some Cruffle in it and made some lines more black, but that's all I could think of.
Not a great one, but as always the first I made.

Op Facebook vroeg Inge Frasch laatst om zia's voor haar kamerscherm. Ik vond het een leuk idee en heb er een paar aan haar gestuurd:

On Facebook Inge Frasch asked tanglers to make zia's for the folding screen she is making. I liked the idea and did send her two:
