Dewd

This week started so much quieter then the last one. Kees doesn't have much pain anymore and the wound is healing very well.
Thanks for you best wishes for him in your comments last week!

As most of us probably expected the challenge this week tells us to use the new tangle from HQ: Dewd.
The tangle is easy to draw, but (for me) hard to combine with other tangles. But, I liked working on this tile!!!!
Here it is:

A waiting room tile

And .... a duotangle of Paradox and Bunzo it is this week.
I LOVE Paradox, but Bunzo is one I don't use very often. Why? No idea.

Yesterday I had absolutely no time for the challenge because of two reasons: My daughter who was here (in The Netherlands) for the birthday of her brother) came to us for only 24 hours, so I wanted to use every minute of that precious time. But .... Kees had an appointment with a hand surgeon in the afternoon. That was the only possibility before the end of December and he has so much pain from a triggerfinger that we 'took' it. So, my daughter just arrived and we went off to the hospital. We knew that an operation was the next step and were expecting that happening weeks from now. But the assistant said there was a place this morning and we just had to take that.
So, more time lost from being with my daughter.
The operation was done quite quick and at 10.30 am we were home again.
Kees has a lot of pain now and I hope it will be better by tomorrow. And, hopefully after healing he will be able to use the hand again.

So, you understand that I had no time for tangling except from the time sitting in the waiting room. I used a tile cut from beautiful paper I bought some time ago, but the scan doesn't show the beauty, it looks like there are some stains in it.
I just started with Paradox in the corners and once again the wonder of Zentangle occurred.
Just concentrating on the small part I was doing and only after finishing that part, deciding what to do next, my tile grew and grew and then I looked at the result and was very happy with it.

Tonight at home I did some shading and I still love it.

Then and now

'Go big' is what we have to do for this challenge.
Hm .... not really my thing I thought, but of course I started working on it last night.

I only worked 'big' on shoes for my son a few years ago and did nit really like to do it. Not totally true, I did work on larger paper, but never with larger pens and with biggified tangles.

Now I took a pre colored 'tile' of 15 x 15 cm and started tangling with the tick side of a purple Identy pen. And to be honest, I LOVED doing this and I also do like the end result.
I wonder what you all think of doing this.

Wibble and my new addiction

Already the first Monday of November and an UMT: Wibble by Shawna Martin it is. A quite easy to draw tangle and also elegant. The only problem I had was what to draw next to it.

Since we used Crazy nZepple for a challenge some weeks ago, I seem to be addicted to that tangle, LOVE it and use it (almost) everywhere, preferably in circles :-)
So, that was the first I tangled after Wibble and then the rest just followed.

A spooky theme in autumn

The theme for the challenge of this week is Halloween and Autumn; not too difficult I thought.
But I found out I was wrong, because I had a hard time making something out of it.

I had this idea to use a witch hat, even traced one on a tile but then I had no idea what to do with it. Normally I use the first I start, but this time I just grabbed another tile (one I colored with the eco dye technique) and traced some leaves.
Hm, that was a bit better, but also quite tough.

But, whatever, I finished that one and here it is (the scan didn't like these colors):
