Not my 'piece of cake'

I almost did it: skip this week's challenge!
The only reason I didn't is that I never skipped one before and so I decided to join this anyway. Well, I hoped it would be sort of pleasant to overcome my aversion, but to be honest, it didn't.

Tangling (or doing whatever) with my left, non dominant, hand is a huge struggle and I promised myself that I never ever have to do this again.
Sorry Laura, It's a great idea, but absolutely not my 'piece of cake'.

I wonder what all of you, other tanglers, did and will try to comment, but we are (again) going away for a long weekend. This time near the Dutch coast. Today I have to work, so not much time left.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you leave me a comment. Work created by fellow tanglers can be seen at 'I am the diva'.

Dansk, an UMT

After my time in Switzerland and the long weekend in the south of our country, life is a bit more normal now. Well, normal for only 11 days, because then we will go for a long weekend near the Dutch coast.
All so nice to do, but also quite weary.

The moment I saw the challenge of this week, I liked it. It's UMT and the tangle is Dansk by Margaret Bremner. I did use this tangle a lot some years ago, but had almost forgotten it now. Most of the time I use Sand Swirl, by Karry Heun, in stead.

I chose a colored tile (it is more pink and at the bottom yellow), started with Hollibaugh and filled most of the open spaces with Dansk.
It was a real zen time to do this tile.

Colorrun and beads

I came home from Switzerland Tuesday night, here is a photo of a beautiful waterfall in Giessen,
and have been so very busy since, that I could hardly find time for this challenge. There are a lot of reasons for that, but the main is that we are leaving for a long weekend tomorrow, so it was un packing two days ago and packing again today.

Tonight I just took some time to make my tile and I kept it quite simple. Just a tile with a lot of color and some beads.

Hope to have more time next week, also for commenting all your entries!

Blessed be!
