Thoughts about non dominant tangling

And ..... again this year the most difficult (and hated) challenge that I can think of: Tangling with your non-dominant hand (for me the left one).
Some people can do things with that hand, but I'm not one of them. I am totally right-handed.
I was thinking of skipping this challenge, but did it anyway.

Tried to do what I read some people do: appreciating the right hand more and then I started thinking about the way my husband writes. He has (light) Cerebral Palsy (also called spastic) and writing is very, very hard for him. Maybe almost impossible.
So, what am I whining about?????

After that I created my tile, still disliking tangling this way, but appreciating what I can do much more.
Wobbly of course, but made with gratitude!

Thank you for visiting my blog!!

And ... I'm sorry, but I don't do Instagram, so I cannot comment there.

Blessed be!

  2. Wonderful tile. Your wobbles give your tangles such character.

  3. Sometimes you just have to embrace the wobble! I had to do that too!

  4. Empathy is a wonderful thing. My mother had Parkinsons, so this was a lesson in humility for me this week. I think your tile is a nice tribute. <3

  5. I think writing with the non-dominant hand is soooo hard! I had to do it when I hurt my right hand years ago and couldn't use it for a couple of months. You can get a little better at it but it is still sooo hard. You did great! :)

  6. Your tile is great ... and I love the color and tangling with the white pen!

  7. Your tile is well done for the topic, Annemarie.
I agree, drawing with the left hand is difficult, but I think one could practice it. My first attempt was terrible, the second already a little better.

  8. I love the color of your tile and the rough look reminds me of childhood.

  9. I love "made with gratitude". The first step of the Zentangle method is probably the most important, isn't it? I love that you thought about your husband. And I love the white on pink!
