A Dare to LOVE

Wauw, ik was meteen 'weg' van dit sjabloon. Helaas was ik dinsdag erg druk geweest en 's avonds te moe om te tanglen, iets dat haast nooit gebeurt.

Maar .... woensdagavond ben ik er helemaal voor gaan zitten en 'moest' vanuit het midden beginnen met Paradox.

Ik ben er vrij lang mee bezig geweest en genoot van elke seconde. Daarnet (donderdagavond) nog was schaduw aangebracht en eigenlijk vind ik het jammer dat hij klaar is.

Wow, the moment I saw this template I was completely in love with it. Unfortunately I had been very busy on Tuesday and in the evening too tired to tangle, something that almost never happens.

But ... Wednesday evening I took the time and 'had' to start from the center with Paradox.

It took quite a while and I enjoyed every second of it. Tonight (Thursday evening) I did some shading and to be honest I'm sorry that it's finished.

Lines and Rosie

Wat een leuke, ontspannen opdracht deze week; een string maken van lijnen.

Ik maakte een string van dubbele lijnen omdat ik dat altijd mooi vind. Daarna gewoon één voor één tangles gekozen (of kozen ze mij?).

What a nice and relaxed challenge this week; make a string of lines.

I made a string with double lines because I like it that way. After that I chose one tangle after the other (or did they choose me?).

Een poos geleden vertelde ik van de oudere dame (Rosie) die me gevraagd had iets voor haar muur naast een boeddha te maken. Toen ik bij haar thuis ben wezen kijken bleek al snel dat het ensemble dat ik met Gerla maakte het meest geschikt was voor aan haar muur, maar dan een andere muur dan waar de Boeddha hangt. Dit betekende dus dat ik niet iets nieuws hoefde te maken. Vorige week woensdag zijn Gerla en ik het stuk samen gaan brengen. Wat leuk, dat nu een werk van ons samen bij iemand hangt. En Rosie .... die is er zoooo blij mee.

Ik heb een foto gemaakt die helaas bewogen is en waar teveel licht in weerspiegeld, maar zo krijg je wel een idee:

Some time ago I told you about the elderly lady (Rosie), who asked me to draw something for her wall next to a Buddha. When I went to her house to see (together with her) what would be the best to do, it was clear that the ensemble I made with Gerla would be the best on the wall, but not next to Buddha.

So, this meant that I didn’t have to make something new.

Last Wednesday Gerla and I went to Rosie to bring it. So much fun (and an honor) that something of the two of us is hanging in someones house. And Rosie ..... being so happy with it.

I made a photo there, but unfortunately is was moved and there is too much refection in the glass. But you get the idea anyway:

A busy zendala

Na een week zonder Dare omdat erin zo druk was, dit keer Dare 108.

Ik begon als altijd in het midden en al snel werd het wel heel erg druk. Ik heb geprobeerd dit minder opvallend te maken door kleur aan te brengen. Ik ben wel tevreden met het eindresultaat.

After a week without a Dare, because Erin was so very busy, now Dare 108.

As always I started in the center and very quick it became busy, very busy. I tried to improve it by adding some colors and now I'm quite happy with the end result.

I had such a great time drawing this week's challenge. Started with Crescent Moon as a frame, what I never did before.

I like the outcome.

'CanT' or can I?

De opdracht voor deze week is een UMT: CanT van Chris Titus. In eerste instantie zag ik hier niet veel in, maar door de dag heen kreeg ik wel een idee wat ik wilde doen. 's Avonds toen ik ervoor ging zitten, nam ik eerst een licht gekleurde tile en begon met deze tangle diagonaal te tekenen en steeds iets groter. Ach en daarna 'gebeurde' de rest vanzelf. Met mijn Derwent Inktence kleurpotloden nog wat kleur aangebracht en .... ik ben helemaal tevreden:-)

The challenge for this week is an UMT: CanT by Chris Titus. At first I had no idea what to do with it, but during the day I did get an idea. In the evening, when I sat down to tange, I first took a soft hand colored tile and started with CanT diagonal on it and a bit bigger with every part. Well, after that the rest 'happened' by itself. With my Derwent Inktence color pencils I added some color and ..... I am totally happy with the result :-)

Still on our holiday, creating U, J and B

Last night, after a very nice dinner (and a fantastic desert with apple ice and apple salad) in a restaurant nearby, I started drawing this U, J and B challenge.

I enjoyed it and like the result however it's a bit different from my 'normal' tiles.

I just went outside to make a photo of it (with my iPad) in the morning light and also made a photo of a part of the garden that I see from the porch (we've got three of them here).

From our holiday house

De Diva zelf is weer terug en meteen met, zoals verwacht, de nieuwe tangle Zenith, van Rick en Maria. Wel leuk om te doen, maar ik denk niet dat ik deze vaak zal gebruiken.

Nadat ik Zenith diagonaal getekend had, kwamen er lijnen uit en ik vind het resultaat wel leuk.

De foto, genomen met de iPad is niet geweldig, maar zo kan ik toch mijn inzending online zetten.

We zijn nl. een paar dagen weg naar een geweldig gebied in Nederland waar we een prachtig huis op een mooie en stille plek hebben gehuurd. Zie foto onderaan.

The Diva herself is back and, as expected, the new tangle Zenith, by Rick and Maria.

Nice to draw, but I don't think I'll use it a lot.

After drawing Zenith diagonal on my tile, lines came out of it and I do like the result.

The photo, taken with my iPad is not very good, but this way I can put my contribution online.

Have to do it this way, because we are on a trip for some days to a very beautiful area in the Netherlands, where we rented a fantastic house on a great and immense quit place. See for yourself on the photo at the bottom.
