Jessica's hearts

While Laura is enjoining her, well deserved, holiday of the challenge, this week a guest post that Jessica Davies has made for us.

'Tangled heart' is the subject and in her blog post, Jessica explains how she came to drawings hearts after disliking them earlier.

I myself also dislike hearts, in fact I dislike all the 'sweet' (valentine-ish) things about hearts. But after reading Jessica's story I decided to make one for her.

I did not go as far as using a pink tile, I choose purple. Started with a heart (from a template) and then Hollibaugh seemed the right tangle around it. Then I realized that no more tangles were needed because it was finished.

    Simpel en (misschien daardoor) elegant. Meer is inderdaad niet nodig! Leuk hoe je het roze/ paars hebt gebruikt in de tile.

    Thank you, Anne! I appreciate that you tried a heart shape even though you usually don't like them. And your tile is beautiful! I like that you left a lot of space for the eye to rest around the tangles and the bold colors. Well done!

    Me neither likes hearts that are Valentinish and too sweet! Love to see what you made out of it! And you didn´t fear the pink! Hearfully/ Anita
