Narwal: no friend of mine

F, I and N are the letters for our tangles this week.

I chose:

Floatfest by Carole Ohl
Inapod by (also) Carole Ohl
Narwal by Samantha Taylo
and
Neuron by Beth Snoderly.

I have tried Narwal before, but we are still 'no friends'. I find that tangle very hard to do, but decided to keep it on my tile this week. Who knows, maybe in a while I'll be better with it.
With BeFuncky I did the dark parts in the corners.

By following this linkyou will see what other tanglers did and also how you yourself can participate.

Thanks a lot for visiting my blog, I hope you will take the time to leave a comment (or even more to become a follower) that will help me learn more.
I will try to comment to every one that did sent in an entry!

Charlotte, a guest

After a summer where guests did some challenges for Laura, she has got the idea to carry on with a guest once a month. Nice to get an other input and for Laura a monthly resting point. I think it's a good idea.

For this first time she asked Charlotte Carpentier and she comes with a nice challenge. We have to make a string with a stencil and tangle it.
Since some time I have a few stencils, but I'm not really fond of them. But, because I didn't have anything else I used one of them.

I took a normal white tile, placed the stencil on it and sprayed ink on it. In fact the same way as when I color my tiles. I decided to tangle the colored spots, but after finishing it the whole tile was incoherent.
Then I drew aura's around them and I think it's a lot better now. Thank you Charlotte!

On the web-log of Laura 'I am the diva' you can see what other tanglers made of this challenge and, if you want (and why not?) upload your own tile.

I do appreciate you visiting my blog a lot and I hope you will leave me a comment. I want to thank every one that left me a comment last week. Those comments always brighten my day!

Love this one

And Dare 110 has a template that I like right away too, however I had no idea what I would do with it.
Of course it just went by itself, as it always does. I did change a lot however, that went by itself too.
I am more then pleased with the result.

On the site of Erin, The Bright Owl, your can see what other tanglers did with the template and, if you wish, upload your own.

Thanks for visiting my blog and if you want to leave a comment behind: please do, I will learn from it and appreciate it!

L, D and G on black

This week I decided to work on a black tile. That was a long time ago and I (again) felt the difference from tangling on a white tile.
I enjoyed doing it however.

A bit of shading with a zenstone and a charcoal pencil and .... finished.

The letters given this week are: L, D and G.

I chose:

Loopy by Ronnie Szszerba
Diva Dance by Zentangle
and
Golven by Mariët Lustenhouwer (of course I had to take this tangle of Mariët, she's Dutch too)

By following this linkyou will see what other tanglers did and also how you yourself can participate.

Wood to tangle on!

Laura has a brilliant idea for Challenge 236: tangle on something you would normally not tangle on.
She herself used an old map and created a great zia with it. So the 'map idea' was not what I wanted to do (steal). But ... what else??????

After quite a bit of thinking I suddenly knew: a slice of wood! Kees does a lot with wood and got me two slices, from different types of wood, from his shed. They are 8 and 5 cm in diameter.

I LOVE to see that even (maybe more) after tangling you can see the different types in the color.
This was really fun to do and not for the last time. It opens so many
possibilities :-)

before tangling

and after

And just to show you, someting Kees created some time ago:

D&C 24

I already started this challenge about a week ago, then did the Diva challene and the Dare first and finished this one yesterday (Friday). A strange way to make a tile, at least for me.

After finishing in black and white, I thought I missed some color and sprayed some ink on it. Now it like this tile better.

The letters given this week are: C, D and #.

I chose:

Cadent by Zentangle
Cayla by Chrissie Frampton
Chartz by Zentangle
Daggerly by Carole Ohl
and
4mom by Jan Eileen Malone.

A Dare to LOVE

Wow, the moment I saw this template I was completely in love with it. Unfortunately I had been very busy on Tuesday and in the evening too tired to tangle, something that almost never happens.
But ... Wednesday evening I took the time and 'had' to start from the center with Paradox.

It took quite a while and I enjoyed every second of it. Tonight (Thursday evening) I did some shading and to be honest I'm sorry that it's finished.

On the site of Erin, The Bright Owl, your can see what other tanglers did with the template and, if you wish, upload your own.
