Autumn leaves

The challenge is a day later then normal, because Artoo was ill. Luckily he became ill after his 5th birthday party and I understand that he is getting better by now.

"Get inspired by autumn", is what Laura says to us and that's what I did. This afternoon, when I was going to the hairdresser on my bicycle I was driving under beautiful oak trees and there were the most beautiful leaves on the ground. I picked up some and took them with me in my agenda.

For some time I had a nice colored tile waiting for the right moment to use it. Well, to-day was that moment because for me it's fitting the theme.
I outlined (is that the correct word???) the leaf and then started tangling within. The colors are done with green, brown and orange Sakura pens and after that I used some soft pastel pencils.

On the web-log of Laura 'I am the diva' you can see what other tanglers made of this challenge and, if you want (and why not?) upload your own tile.

I do appreciate you visiting my blog a lot and I hope you will leave me a comment. I want to thank every one that left me a comment last week. Those comments always brighten my day!

A very organic tile

D&C 28 came with the letters L, Z and P.

I started with Laced and because of that I decided to use only organic tangles. A bit different from my normal work, but I like it.

I chose:

Laced by Mary Elizabeth Martin
Lazy Eights by Denielle Noe
Zinger by Zentangle
and
Pais by Mikee Huber (I like this , new to me, tangle).

By following this linkyou will see what other tanglers did and also how you yourself can participate.

Thanks a lot for visiting my blog, I hope you will take the time to leave a comment (or even more to become a follower) that will help me learn more.
I will try to comment to every one that did sent in an entry!

Blessed Be!

Dare 112

Dare 112: a very special template.
I took a colored paper and tangles only with colored Sakura pens. Maybe I should have done something with colored pencils, but in fact I like it this way. In the middle something went a bit wrong with tracing, but: it is what it is.

On the site of Erin, The Bright Owl, your can see what other tanglers did with the template and, if you wish, upload your own.

I LOVE this challenge!!!

At first I didn't think I would like this challenge: Munchin, a tangle by Molly Hollibough.
I grabbed some black tiles and started.

And then it happened: all of a sudden I LOVE it, can't stop and make two.

The first one is on black paper that a neighbor gave me, a rest from a printing office.

The second is a tile (Stonehenge paper) that I bought from Charlotte Carpentier, who was so friendly to send it all the way to the Netherlands.

I LOVE this challenge!

D&C 27 and a 'girls' week

I'm a bit later then 'normal' with my entry, because this has been quite a busy week. Kees went to UK on Wednesday to 'meet' his new grandson (Jacob, over 10 pounds) who was born on Wednesday evening and he will stay there until coming Wednesday.
In this week I made a lot of appointments with friends; for dinner, lunch and shopping. So, a 'girls' week. Yesterday I went shopping and found myself a winter-jacket that gives me a 'zentangle' feeling:

Now to the challenge, that's what you come her for:
This week the letters R, K and I were the lucky ones.

I chose:

Ragz by Christina Vanderlist
Knot Ritz by Cheryl Cianci (love that one!)
Kelp by Nancy Domnauer
ING by Zentangle
and
Ixorus by Zentangle (I like my tangleation on this one)

I liked working on this tile a lot. The tile I used was colored with my new light purple ink and I love it.

By following this link you will see what other tanglers did and also how you yourself can participate.

Thanks a lot for visiting my blog, I hope you will take the time to leave a comment (or even more to become a follower) that will help me learn more.

Halloween; not so easy

After a week without a Dare, the new one came already on Monday. Great, so unexpected early.

At first sight this looks like a simple template, but there is a theme; Halloween.
Not really my thing and I think I'm not the only Dutch(wo)man that knows very little about it. However, the last few years, you see more and more Halloween attributes in the stores.

It seemed a good idea to start with a spiderweb in the middle and after that I had no more Halloween ideas.
Until, in the outer circle, I drew some little eyes and after that some spiders all around.

On the site of Erin, The Bright Owl, your can see what other tanglers did with the template and, if you wish, upload your own.

Love Tri-Bee

Already October and the first Monday of it, so an UMT for the challenge and ..... such a great one!
It's Tri-Bee by Beate Winkler. This is an easy to draw tangle and one you can hardly stop after you started.

After finishing I found out that the colored tile I used appeared not to be the best choice ever. It was much too busy and that's why I made the lines black.

I had a real relaxing hour and loved every second of it. Thanks Beate and Laura (the tile Laura made is GORGEOUS, did you already see that?).

On the web-log of Laura 'I am the diva' you can see what other tanglers made of this challenge and, if you want (and why not?) upload your own tile.
