Shattuck vs Tripoli

A duotangle this week and Shattuck vs Tripoli are the lucky ones.
For as long as I tangle (2011) I love Shattuck and use it all the time, but I never use Tripoli for the simple reason that I cannot master it.
So yesterday evening I tried again and a miracle happened: I can draw it now!!! So relieved, such a joy :-)

I found the combination of the two tangles a bit hard and my tile became some dull, but after giving it some contrast with blue, white and black I think it's much better.

The next tile I made for a guest in our hospice; I did not get a change to give it to her, so I thought to show it here as a tribute to a very special lady I met.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you leave me a comment; I do appreciate that a lot. Work created by fellow tanglers can be seen at 'I am the diva'.

Blessed be!
Annemarie

  10. It's so satisfying when a tangle we've been struggling with suddenly falls into place. As you've demonstrated here, sometimes simple is just fine. Your string makes it unique. That's a lovely tribute you dedicated to your hospice friend.

  11. Glad that you now feel comfortable with Tripoli. I have always liked it and use to use it a lot. Shattuck is also one of my favorites. Like your tile. Some times the simplest things are better. The only two that I can think of that would have very unique ways of combining these two tangles are Helen Williams and Michelle Beauchamp.
