Last week I did not
comment much because we went away for a long weekend. I'll try to do
better this week :-)
We went to Leiden, a
town in the west of The Netherlands. There was a small event trying
to make people with and without physical disabilities meet and talk
about what they have in common and not what the difference between
them is.
There was also a
possibility to walk with a black pair of spectacles and a cane,
experiencing what is is to be blind or riding in a wheelchair a.s.o.
We stayed there in a nice hotel and also visited some musea. On Sunday, before we went home, we went to the shore and, after a lot of rain on Saturday, it was lovely, warm, sunny weather! We even had a cup of coffee on a terrace!
In
the hotel I tangled this (on my lap) on 'stijfselmarmer' paper: also
ordered a few weeks ago. This beautiful paper is a bit thin for
tangling, but very doable.
And
now what you came here for: the Diva challenge.
Laura
told us on her blog that the first snow has fallen there, so that's a
sign winter is really coming. I hope it will stay away for a long
time here.
The
challenge this week is creating a monotangle with Striping. A tangle
that is not used by many tanglers and I'm one of them. I did enjoy
doing this though. I tangled on 'elefanthout' paper again.
Thank
you for visiting my blog and I hope you leave me a comment; I do
appreciate that a lot. Work created by fellow tanglers can be seen at
'I am the diva'.
Blessed be!
Annemarie
Your tiles are very beautiful. I especially like the interpretation of Striping.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSounds like an interesting event. I like the blue tangle even better, but the challenge one is good, too. :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLovely work! I love the blue!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou are allowed to take a break from commenting when you are out having a life, especially when you are learning valuable information. ;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI really like the "stijfselmarmer' paper and the composition you did on it. (Yes, I copied and pasted "stijfselmarmer'. You made your Striping tile visually interesting even though we had to do a monotangle.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience;-) Your artwork is lovely as usual and I'm especially impressed and inspired by the Striping composition;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful tiles! Terrific Striping!💜
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe blue tile you tangled in the hotel is soooo beautiful - I like it very much!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYour striping balls are a good idea :-)
Dank je wel Annemarie voor deze mooie informatieve blogpost met 2 originele tiles!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat an interesting weekend - thank you for sharing. I love your blue 'stijfselmarmer' paper - I googled it: paste paper. Very nice. Your striping is wonderful - so creative.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love all your circles, Annemarie - you've got some fascinating effects from them.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenMooi, beide tiles, de blauwe had ik al op FB gezien de andere niet. Altijd mooi met de high lights!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe blue and white piece is stunning. I think Striping is used more as a filler, so interesting to use it in a monotangle. Think how it is shaded makes a big difference in how it looks.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice striping tile . . . lots to see!
