It's all about the process

This week it's a duo-tangle: Marasu and Molygon. I do like the duo-tangle concept, but found these tangle a bit hard to combine.

I thought the best tile for this challenge was a 3Z and put Marasu in the center, but it turned out too much to the left. But, as Laura said in her post (and we all know): "It's about the process and not the result".

In the end I do like this tile (a bit).

My personal Waybop

Because on Monday it was 'family day' in Canada (and '-not my- president day' in USA), the challenge is a day later then it normally is.

Still very special and appriciated, because Laura had both children ill this weekend! Hope they will be totally better soon.

As we probably all expected, this week's theme is the new tangle from HQ: Waybop. I had been trying this tangle a few days earlier and found it hard to draw. I'm not very good at the beginning, the distance between the 'rice' shapes. So, the total tangle is a bit out of proportion, but I think that's OK, that's just me.

I took a colored tile (I think it's the third week in a row that I use that color, so next week I'll take something else) and started my personal formed Waybop. Framed it and I think the result is not too bad :-)

Februari swap

Voor de eerste keer een swap van Aly; leuk dat ze Magda is gaan helpen!
Aly vraagt ons om terug te gaan naar de eerste tangle die je leerde.
Ik weet dat niet precies meer, maar wel dat ik in 2011 de zentangle kit kocht en begon, gewoon maar begon. Dit is een foto van de allereerste foto uit mijn plakboek:

Ik maakte voor deze swap een tile met een aantal van de tangles die ik in die eerste tiles ook gebruikte en dit werd het:

Yesterday evening I made (a very simple) card for Kees to go with a box of chocolates (bonbons as we call them).

Hamadox, a Dutch tangle :-)

A new month, so UMT it is!

This time a tangle by Diana Schreur (always fun when it is a Dutch tangler and CZT) and it is: Hamadox.

I never saw this tangle before, but I like it. As always, I post my first try and Hamadox is far from perfect, but still nice enough. The purple tile works very well with this challenge I think, so I'm quite happy with the result.
